Absaroka 4P Tent

Regular price $0.00 Unit price per

Please allow 2-3 business days for tents to ship if you elect for us to seam seal your tent.

The Absaroka 4P is a lightweight, spacious, 4 person tent designed for backcountry hunting. Built with dual doors, a removeable stove jack, and a tall pitch height to optimize wind sheer and snow shedding, the Absaroka is built for 4 season use and features sewn-in line-loc adjusters on all guy-out points for quick and easy pitching. Designed to be a spacious 4 person tent for riding out storms or 2 person mansion with a stove, the Absaroka strikes a balance between space, weight and size ideal for mountain hunting.

The Absaroka is built to be pitched with an optional single center pole (sold separately) or two trekking poles connected together, and is constructed with our ripstop polyester fabric that won't sag when wet, maintaining the usable space inside the tent. The Absaroka is sewn with a silicone coated thread and double lap-felled seams, making it highly water resistant out of the box.

The Absaroka 4P also comes with our ARC Removable Stove Jack System, designed to be run in lightweight mode or stove mode when you want a hot tent. With our zippered stove jack design, the removable stove jack allows you to keep tent weight and bulk to a minimum during warmer months if you aren't using a stove, while allowing stove use during the colder months, all with a single tent. Gone are the days of having to pack around a dedicated stove jack when you aren't using it.

The Absaroka 4P is ideal for four people and normal amounts of gear, or 2 people with a stove and lots of gear. The Absaroka can be used as a floorless shelter or with the Absaroka 4P Insert with a bathtub floor/mesh insert for full double wall coverage (sold separately). A carbon fiber center pole can also be used to pitch the tent (sold separately).  And if you want to make a hot tent, pair with our Skyline Ti Titanium Wood Stove.

The Absaroka 4P needs to be seam sealed to be fully waterproof. We include seam sealer with every tent, and for more information on how to seam seal your tent, check out our seam sealing instruction page, or we can seam seal your tent for you for a small fee (select Add Seam Sealing).

  • ARC Removable Stove Jack System-Easily zip in or zip out your stove jack to run your tent in stove jack or lightweight mode to save weight and bulk.

Purpose Built

Light, durable, and easy to set up. Put the Absaroka 4P tent and Skyline TI Stove to work on two high country deer hunts in the snow this fall. Performed flawlessly and set up was simple. I do wish it came with cordage for hanging stuff at the top of the tent for drying. I also wish it came with or they sold a package seperately for guying out all exterior guy points. Was never an issue for withstanding the elements but it would allow for a tighter pitch and would minimize issues you may see in a windy climate.

Hey Eric,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I am glad you enjoyed the tent and the stove.
We do have paracord and extra tent stakes you can purchase on our site for hanging stuff with our loop holes inside the tent as well as use for extra guy lines. Reach out to us if you have any other questions at [email protected].

Tent and insert

I bought the absorkia and full insert. Love the tent. Size: 3 people and no gear, 2 people plus some gear, 1 person and all the gear you can carry. Pitches easy and quick. Bast backpack tent I’ve ever used. The only thing that I would recommend is for the insert to clip onto the walls. That will make more room and still keep condensation out. Just a thought Mark.

Awesome Tent!

Used the tent and stove on a mule deer hunt last week. Awesome combination and massive room for a solo trip. Plenty of room for 2 with gear and the stove. Set up was quick and easy. Very windy day and no problems. Looking forward to getting it out in colder weather.

Absaroka 4P Tent

Purchased this tent a month or two ago for hunting. I got it with the full insert. Initially, I had a bad case of buyers remorse, first thoughts are that it’s over priced for what it is. You can’t really stand up in it , cheap stakes. The insert has no stake loops to secure to the rain fly other than the corners. ( it needs em at the doors as well) , they make you pay extra for the pole. For the price of this tent, the pole should be included in my opinion. Also, if you’re running an insert you have multiple bags of items for your tent, a bag for the pole, a bag for the tent and a bag for the insert , it would be nice to have a large bag for everything. With all that being said the tent is very light and seems pretty solid in wind. Stayed dry in the rain.

Hey Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We try to price all of our prodcuts in a way that provides a value to the customer. We also have designed all our products to be a la carte because of how modular all our systems are. I understand that have three stuff sacks when you are backpacking solo can be an issue and I will take note of that. We deisgned them all to be seperate so it is easier to split up the weight when you are hiking with your friends. We appreciate your feedback!

As advertised

I recently had the opportunity to use the Absaroka 4p tent paired with the center pole on a high country Colorado hunt. We faced weather ranging from upper 60s to inches of snow and wind and the tent performed flawlessly.
