2026 Argali X Scheels 3D Archery Challenge
Back for 2026 and bigger than ever. This year we have partnered with Scheels to put on a bigger event with a custom course, more targets and a new venue with a chance to win some great prizes for participants while also supporting the Boise area public 3D archery range. This year we are hosting the event at Rock Creek Ranch (11300 Pearl Rd, Emmett, ID 83617) north of Eagle, ID (30 minutes from Boise) with 40 four-person teams and an afterparty on site with food trucks, drinks and raffles.
Tickets are sold individually, but contestants will be shooting as a team of 4. If you have a team already assembled, have 1 member of the team buy all 4 tickets to ensure you are able to shoot together. Alternatively, we will contact all the participants before the event to form groups, and at that time you can let us know if you have anyone you want to to be grouped with.
100% of all ticket sales will go directly to buying new targets for the Boise River WMA Archery Range, which is managed by Idaho Fish and Game. The Valley Fire of 2024 burned down a significant number of targets at the archery range, and much of the winter range in the Boise River WMA. This event will help raise money for the 3D Archery Range for our archery community.
After the event, we will purchase new targets and inserts and donate them directly to IDFG with help from our friends at Scheels in Meridian.
how it works
There will be 40, 4-person teams. Groups of 2 or 3 people will have people added to your teams to get to 4. Singles are also welcome and will get paired with another group.
Ranking is based on each team's total score. There will be prize packages for 1st and 2nd place teams (prize packages will include items for each individual member), plus there will be a novelty shot at no extra cost where you will have a chance to win an Argali Tent Kit.
Tickets are $50 per person and each participant receives:
- Custom Yeti water bottle, custom event t-shirt and other gifts
- A chance to win some great gear from Argali, Scheels, Yeti, onX, Hoyt, Vortex, Exo Mtn Gear, Day Six, Initial Ascent, Iron Mountain Skull Hangers and Gym Reaper
Event Rules
This is a fundraiser shoot designed to be fun. That said, we do have a few rules to ensure this remains a fun event:
- No target bows, only hunting bows allowed on course
- Scoring system is on the honor system, but this year we will have people checking targets as needed to ensure there isn't any cheating
- No professional shooters. This is a fun shoot designed for amateurs, not professionals
Logistics
The shoot starts at 8:00am on Friday August 7th, 2026. Participants need to be at Rock Creek Ranch (11300 Pearl Rd, Emmett, ID 83617 located 30 minutes north of Boise) no later than 7:15am to be checked-in by 7:30, get a team score card and get to your first target.
Winners will be announced at the afterparty located on site. There will be food trucks at the event after the shoot and a shaded pavilion for the after party.
Winners must be present to claim your prizes. If the winning team isn't present, the second place team will become first, third place will become second, etc.
Afterparty will be at Rock Creek Ranch (11300 Pearl Rd, Emmett, ID 83617).
