Tent Seam Sealing

Argali Logo

All Argali tents come highly water resistant out of the box due to our seam construction and silicone coated thread. However, you do need to seam seal your tent (rain fly portion) to ensure your tent is fully waterproof.

How to Seam Seal Your Tent

*It is important to remember to seam seal the inside of your tent seams, not the outside.

  1. Pitch your tent as you normally would.
  2. Using the seam sealer provided with your tent, apply a very thin bead of seam sealer on all seams, zippers and the stove jack. Apply a small amount of sealer on every seam and use your finger to spread it down the seam. We find it easiest to use your finger with or without a disposable nitrile or rubber glove to apply the seam sealer.
  3. Let the silicone dry for at least an hour, but ideally up to 3 hours.
  4. Pack your tent up and get ready to have some fun.
