Rincon 2P Tent

Regular price $259.00 $0.00 Unit price per

The Rincon 2P is the ideal lightweight 2 person mountain tent, with a single trekking pole pitch, spacious interior, removable stove jack, no-sag when wet fabric, single zipper door, and modified rectangular shape for optimal pitching in uneven terrain.  The Rincon is built for 4 season use and features sewn-in line-loc adjusters on all guy-out points for quick and easy pitching. Designed to be a spacious 2 person tent for riding out storms or 1 person palace with a stove, the Rincon strikes a balance between space, weight and size ideal for mountain hunting.

With a modified rectangular shape, the Rincon sets up easily and quickly and there is no guess-work to get the pitch right every time. The shape is also optimized for an efficient space to weight ratio, easily fitting two large people and all of your gear. The Rincon 2P is made from our lightweight yet strong ripstop polyester fabric that won't sag when wet, maintaining the usable space inside the tent in wet weather.

The Rincon also features sewn in line-loc adjusters on all guy-out points for quick and easy pitching adjustments. Pitch it low to the ground for full weather protection and to block drafts, or higher to allow for more air flow. The Rincon is also sewn with a silicone coated thread and double lap-felled seams, making it highly water resistant out of the box.

The Rincon 2P also comes with our ARC Removable Stove Jack System, designed to be run in lightweight mode or stove mode when you want a hot tent. With our zippered stove jack design, the removable stove jack allows you to keep tent weight and bulk to a minimum during warmer months if you aren't using a stove, while allowing stove use during the colder months, all with a single tent. Gone are the days of having to pack around a dedicated stove jack when you aren't using it.

The Rincon 2P is ideal for two people and normal amounts of gear, or 1 person with a stove and lots of gear. The Rincon can be used as a floorless shelter or with the Rincon 2P Insert with a bathtub floor/mesh body for full double wall coverage (sold separately). A carbon fiber center pole can also be used to pitch the tent (sold separately).

Please allow an additional 7-10 business days for your order to ship if you elected to have us seam seal your tent.

The Rincon 2P needs to be seam sealed to be fully waterproof. You can do it yourself with the seam sealer included with your purchase, or we can do it for you for an extra charge. For more information on seam sealing, check out our seam sealing instruction page.

Argali Rincon 2P Tent – Tested Hard, Passed Every Test

I’ve put the Argali Rincon 2-person tent through some serious conditions, and it has never let me down. I ran this tent for nine days straight on an Idaho hunt in the Frank Church Wilderness—thunderstorms, hail, snow, rain… you name it, this tent saw it. It held strong the entire trip.

I’ve used it with the half floor (haven’t tried the half insert yet) and I also run Argali’s titanium stove. My buddies made fun of me for carrying a stove—until everything they owned was soaked and they were lining up at my tent to dry their gear out.

Setup is extremely easy. I always stake out the four corners first and the whole thing comes together fast. I also used the Rincon for a four-day archery hunt in northern Pennsylvania with the same solid experience.

Condensation is minimal for a floorless shelter. I get a little on the lower 10–12 inches of the tent, which the insert would eliminate—I just haven’t bothered to run it yet. The one night I had more condensation than usual was on me because I forgot to open the top vent.

As far as layout: when running the stove, I sleep on the left side. The stove sits on the right, and I stack firewood in the top-right area. The front right corner is perfect for storing gear. The floorless design takes a little getting used to, but now I actually prefer it. I carry a small ground cloth for my gear, and I really like being able to walk inside, zip the tent, and take my boots off without tracking mud into my sleeping area.

I own a lot of Argali gear, and this tent has become one of my best backcountry assets. Durable, lightweight, smart design, and built for real hunts not parking lot camping.

Highly recommend.

Absolutely love this tent! I was in a thunderstorm/hail storm on night and everything was dry. One tip I learned, if you want the sides on the ground, the argali center pole can't be fully extended. Drop it down two to three notches so you have enough material to stake it to the bottom, or else you will have slight gap underneath. Which will be great in summer early fall camping.

Great tent, esp with a ultralight stove

Great tent! took it out with my ultralight hot stove and it's awesome! For new users, ensure to use the guylines; it helps keep it taut. I'm 5'6 and I fit well in it, but if you're about 6' above, maybe you'll need something a bit bigger. Otherwise, its good for pack weight, and can squeeze into your bag well.

Great tent!

So easy to set up and great size. I am a tall guy and was worried about the size. Used on one trip so far and have loved it. Love the option for a stove later on.
