ABOUT
Talus Tarp
This is a great tarp. The pre-attached lineloc adjusters and para cord make this thing a breeze to setup. I also really like the reinforced center fabric so you can put a trekking pole in the middle for various setups.
Great Tarp, I used it for my Mule deer hunt in November 2026. Set up the tarp twice due to rain. The quality of construction is great, the size is more than enough for two guys and gear. If I was hunting solo, I would have liked a smaller tarp.. It was windy and raining so the tarp does make noise as the wind catches it. I would have like longer tie town straps all the way around, buts that's an easy fix. It seemed heavier than I expected. It packs down pretty small. Over all I was very pleased
Just yard practice and day trips so far, but what a cool tarp. Initially wished there was more guy out points on the short sides but after some playing around and being realistic about how I will actually use it it is exactly the minimalist setup I wanted. Shakes water off incredibly well too, very impressed with that. Bought extra stakes to utilize every guy out and added cordage here and there for my style. Line locks are slick. Did great in the yard over a couple frosty nights very minimal sag. Can’t wait to camp under it next spring and utilize it where I can this winter deer hunting and playing outside with the kids!
Just finished 2nd season Elk hunt and this tarp was amazing when the heavy snow started!
I have never used SilPoly before. The stretch in wet conditions is substantially less than SilNylon. ( I left my Rincon of the same material out in a Nor Easter and not a drop of rain)The tieouts on this tarp are well thought out and the fact that it comes with stakes is fantastic. I absolutely love the reinforcement patch in the center. I do wish it came in 10x10 and would give it a hands down 6 out of stars.
