Update to my original review- I have 40+ years of tent camping experience, hunting, guiding, and long distance backpacking. This tent is my favorite. Features that I like: Trekking pole or stick setup, UL, and packs small. I use 13 stakes for a solid and spacious shelter. I heavily used 3 different 1P freestanding standing tents in the past with good results. I like the Owyhee much better. Great design, nice work
This is my first higher quality purchase when it comes to backpack hunting gear. I am blown away at how light this tent is. Had it setup and ready to go in just a few minutes. I look forward to using it this fall. Thanks again....
Easily got it put together and got the burn in done. I wish I would have had the forethought to get the taller model as I plan on getting the 4 and 6 person tents (currently have the two). I've been meaning to see if you can purchase just the different pipe lengths.
Just back from a 6day BWCA canoe/camping trip in Minnesota and I loved the half insert. more than enough room to sleep and allowed for a large space to store gear. I've done 33 trips to the BWCA and this was by far my favorite tent set up. Looking forward to the next trip in July!

I ordered the Absaroka 4p tent, with a the carbonfibercenter pole, and so far it has been fantastic. First trip was early season in the mountains of Wyoming, where we experienced everything from rain, wind and sleet, to snow overnight. The tent performed flawlessly. We plan to use it on our backpacking trips from now on because of how it performed, and the fact that it offers more space for less weight than our previous tent. Highly recommended!
Stuffed it with a SG cirque vest, slept like a baby. Drooled all over. Worth every penny
