Why S35VN Steel-In order to make a knife that would hold an edge to cut an entire elk without needing to be sharpened, we wanted the best steel on the market. We wanted a steel that could hold an edge, but wasn't so hard that you couldn't field hone it if you needed to. With its' high Chromium and Vanadium content, as well as the structural alignment of the steel that occurs during the heat treatment, S35VN is simply the best steel on the market for hunting knives with its' unmatched durability, hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance.

The perfect tool to carry on weekly deep sea fishing trips here in the Arabian Gulf. From cutting through line to dispatching king fish - this knife earns its spot on every trip. Edge retention has been phenomenal with just a few passes on a smooth leather strop keeping her in perfect condition.

I purchased the Carbon Stealth knife early this summer to get a literal and figurative feel for it before hunting season. After putting it through the paces I have zero doubts on its ability. Although originally billed as a big game processing wizard the marketing department sold themselves short. It is hands down the best trout/ bird knife I have ever owned. The size and weight are such it is always with me outdoors. It was used this summer for: General cutting and food prep while camping, fish cleaning, chicken butchering, creating fuzz sticks for fire building, steak knife when at home, and a steadfast companion hiking and scouting for deer in the Midwest. As soon as a 1/3 - 1/2 size folder with pocket clip is available it would be my EDC knife.
