Named the Best Overall sleeping bag of the year by Backpacker Magazine, the Argali Alpine 20 Degree sleeping bag will re-define the way you think about sleep in the backcountry. Designed for comfort and warmth in an ultralight package, the Alpine is built for those who like more shoulder room or toss and turn and is full of features designed to trap warm air and help you sleep through the night. Perfect for any backpacking or backcountry adventure, the Alpine 20 Degree is incredibly warm for a 20 degree bag, and is rated for comfort, not survival. This is one of the warmest, widest, and most comfortable 20 degree sleeping bags on the market.

For the ultimate backcountry sleep experience, use our Elite Dream Pillow, which is a soft, stuffable pillow that attaches to the inside of the hood of the sleeping bag.

Features

  • 850+ Dry Loft Down-We partnered with Allied Down and Feather to create Dry Loft Down, a naturally water resistance down sourced from Eastern Europe and processed in the USA for maximum long-term loft. It is simply the best down for sleeping bags that exists. Dry Loft Down is responsibly sourced RDS certified with no wax-based waterproof coatings that cause down clumping and reduce loft over time.
  • Body Mapped Baffles-Differential cut fabric and a combination of vertical and horizontal baffles with internal flow gates strategically puts goose down where you need it the most to trap warm air and prevent down migration in the baffles.
  • Honest Temperature Ratings-With a commitment to honest comfort ratings vs. an industry standard survival rating, our Alpine 20 degree bag is built and independently tested to ISO standards to keep you comfortable at 20 degrees, not shivering throughout the night, leading to enhanced warmth and ultimate recovery.
  • Ultralight, Ultra comfortable Fabric-Breathable Pertex Quantum 15D fabric with PFC-Free DWR coating prevents moisture from getting your bag from the outside, but still allows moisture to escape from inside your bag, while our soft 15D polyester fabric provides a comfortable next to skin feel.
  • Anti-Snag Zipper-Two way YKK #5 zipper with anti-snag cover provides smooth zipper operation and prevents fabric from catching in the zipper.
  • 3D Foot Box-A Footbox that mirrors the shape of your feet so you won't compress the down in at the bottom of your bag and create cold spots.
  • 3D Contoured Hood-A hood that cradles your head and prevents drafting from inside the bag.
  • Insulated Draft Tubes-Insulated and overstuffed draft tubes along the face and zipper trap warm air, prevent drafting and keep you better insulated.
  • Integrated Pillow Attachment System-connection points inside the hood allow the Elite Dream Pillow to attach to your pillow so it stays put during the night.
  • Internal Cell Phone Pocket-Keep your battery alive and warm with the internal pocket on the right side shoulder of the bag.

Great performance

Recently acquired this bag and took it out for a multi-day hunt in the mountains. I was at 8,000ft and the overnight lows were at 18-22 degrees over the duration of my trip. The sleeping bag performed well, I was using it in conjunction with the Argali pillow, but also with a sleeping bag liner. I stayed warm all night! I was impressed at the design of this bag, specifically with the down placement in critical areas of the body to keep warm. I also own Feathered Friends sleeping bags which have been my standard for a performance down bag. I would say that the Argali bags match the performance of the feathered friends bags. I will be looking forward to see how it holds up over time!

20 Degree Bag

Used the sleeping bag on two different backcountry hunts in Oregon and Idaho. The bag worked really well in sub freezing temps. The bag’s technology allows for sweat and moisture to escape.

+20 degree bag with Pillow

Haven’t had the bag in below freezing temps yet but I can tell you this is a quality built bag. The loft is incredible . I originally bought it without the pillow as I have had many camp pillows and none of them were better than my rolled up coat in a stuff sack. This one is by far better than anything I have seen. The one side has a very soft fabric that makes it great. You unzip it and can put what you want in it to make it as firm or as soft as you prefer. What puts it head and shoulders above others is the bag has a little tab on each side at the top with a button hole in it and the pillow has a hidden button on each side. You put the button in the tab on the bag and no more chasing your pillow all night. I know there are those tough guys that say a pillow is not needed but I can tell you when you are startled by the alarm in the morning meaning you slept sound all night you will get it. There is nothing much better or needed in the Elk wood than a good nights sleep. Not many hours in those nights and making the best of them will benefit you in the days to come.

Greatest Mummy Bag Period!

I hate mummy bags, always have. I've ended up carrying more weight in the past to avoid the mummy bag at all cost. This bag has completely changed the game for me. As a side sleeper, I do not get caught in a web every time I try to roll over in this bag. I am comfortable and warm. It packs light, yet is durable and warm. 10 days in Alaska hunting moose on the coast, we were constantly wet, but this bag not only kept me warm but also dry as we woke up every morning and the top of the bag (inside our tent) was damp. 10 out 10 recommend.

Amazingly Warm Bag

Picked up the 20-degree bag last spring. After a spring of Montana bear hunts, a very wet and cold sheep hunt and some elk hunts I have no doubt this will keep me warm well through the Montana rifle season. My wife runs really cold and has struggled to find a bag that works well, and she is blown away by how warm this keeps her.
