Why S35VN Steel-In order to make a knife that would hold an edge to cut an entire elk without needing to be sharpened, we wanted the best steel on the market. We wanted a steel that could hold an edge, but wasn't so hard that you couldn't field hone it if you needed to. With its' high Chromium and Vanadium content, as well as the structural alignment of the steel that occurs during the heat treatment, S35VN is simply the best steel on the market for hunting knives with its' unmatched durability, hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance.

What a fantastic knife! Light, nimble and sharp a razor right from the box. The workmanship is fantastic, and I can foresee this knife lasting me my lifetime. I will be using this knife for whitetails and smaller game, and it was exactly what i was looking for! I just wish the Magnacut version had been available when I purchased this. I'm sure the S35V stell will hold an edge great, too.
Super sharp and light weight
Extremely sharp and extremely light weight. I have other knives in S35V and it does a great job holding an edge. You won't have to resharpen in the field. The handle is very grippy and has a good feel. Overall I'm very happy with the knife.
